These ruckus-rousing trousers break all the existing records for flare size. Created from the fusion of two pairs of trousers bought cheap at the Dappermarkt in Amsterdam, they comprise a series of eight pink panels sewn into each leg of some green trousers. Decorated with a large flower design on the right leg, and a snail design on the left, almost all of the pink trousers were used up. All that remained were scraps and fluff.
It may be possible to make trousers bigger than these 15 gallon flares, but we haven't seen it done, and we don't expect to. With a width at the bottom of 92cm (36¼"), they are truly massive. That works out at over six feet around the bottom of each leg. So here it is, the challenge laid down to all who consider themselves flare-lovers: can you beat C=0.64?!
In accordance with cosmological nomenclature, we refer to these, the biggest of all flares, as X-flares.
W=92, w=20½, l=40: θF=26.94°, VF=34379 ml, C=0.64
