F5 - Purple Patchwork

Belgian students are impressively less townie than English ones, but Amsterdam students wear the best clothes in the world (someone should introduce pooh brits to the concept of "colour")! Go there to get your flares!!! These ones were from a cheap shop on Nieuwendijk - you know, where all the tourists go to do their shopping for novelty clogs and windmills.

There are plenty of trousers like this to choose from, in various colours. They are not massively flared, but nicely boot-cut, and not too expensive at all. And of course, being made of corduroy, bonus points are scored. I know they don't look flared in the picture but, really, they are.

Beware, however, of buying flares too cheaply. These began to fall apart after being worn a few times, and I don't wear them much nowadays
